1. Who we are
MrPOS ("we", "us") is a Pakistan-based software business providing point-of-sale, inventory, accounting and WhatsApp marketing software for retail and restaurants. This policy explains how we handle information relating to our website mrpos.live. For anything relating to data you process inside the MrPOS software itself (your own sales, customers and inventory records), the controlling document is your service agreement with us — in that relationship you are the data owner and we act on your instructions.
2. Information we collect
a) Information you give us
When you tap a WhatsApp button or call us, you share what you choose to send: your name, phone number, business name and anything you tell us about your requirements. We use it only to reply, prepare quotes, arrange demos and support your account. This website does not run a contact-form database — conversations happen on WhatsApp or by phone, under their respective providers' terms.
b) Analytics data (only with your consent)
If you press Accept on our cookie banner, we load two privacy-friendly analytics tools:
- Google Analytics 4 — pages viewed, approximate country/city, device and browser type, referring site. GA4 does not log or store your full IP address.
- Microsoft Clarity — anonymised heatmaps and session recordings to understand which parts of pages confuse visitors. Clarity masks all form inputs and sensitive content by default, and never captures passwords.
If you press Decline (or ignore the banner), none of these tools load at all — no analytics cookies are set and no analytics requests are sent.
c) Server logs
Our hosting server keeps short-lived technical access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, browser type) for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. These logs are not used for profiling or marketing.
3. Cookies and local storage
We keep the list honest and short:
- mrpos-analytics-consent (local storage, essential) — remembers your Accept/Decline choice so we don't ask on every page.
- _ga and related Google Analytics 4 cookies (only after Accept) — distinguish visitors and aggregate usage; typically persist up to 2 years.
- _clck / _clsk Microsoft Clarity cookies (only after Accept) — persist roughly up to 1 year / 1 day respectively.
You can change your decision any time via Cookie Settings in the website footer, or by clearing your browser's site data — the banner will reappear and your choice resets.
4. Why we process this (legal bases)
- To answer your enquiries and provide demos, sales and support — performance of a contract / steps before a contract.
- To measure and improve the website — your consent, withdrawable at any time.
- To keep the site secure and stop abuse — our legitimate interest.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We do not run advertising networks or social-media tracking pixels. Data is shared only with the processors that operate this site: our hosting provider, Google (Analytics 4) and Microsoft (Clarity) — the latter two only after you accept cookies. Each publishes its own privacy documentation.
6. International transfers
Our visitors are mainly in Pakistan, but analytics providers may process data outside your country. Where data from the EU/EEA or UK is involved, the providers rely on recognised safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep things
Enquiry conversations: as long as needed to serve you as a customer or prospect. Analytics data: per the retention settings of each tool. Server logs: short retention, then deleted or anonymised. Consent choice: until you clear it via Cookie Settings or your browser.
8. Your rights
Wherever you live — including rights under the EU/UK GDPR — you can ask us to: access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or withdraw consent. We apply these standards to everyone, not just EU residents. To make a request, message us on WhatsApp or call 0316 6132742 — we respond within 30 days.
9. Children
This website is aimed at business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect children's personal data.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Material changes (for example adding a new analytics tool) will re-open the consent banner.
